Lets face it, there are only two reasons why you want a silent mouse; One, you don’t want to wake someone up if you’re gaming right next to them. Two, you want to game late at night undetected without the threat of parents or partner discovering you! The Best Silent Gaming Mice

VicTsing Silent Gaming Mouse

victsing silent gaming mouseTo Kick things off we start this list with a very special silent mouse! It is one of the most highest rated Silent Mice on Amazon and I personally use this when the right time comes. We need to step back a second and admire this mouse’s amazing craftsmanship. Aesthetically it reins supreme compared to all other silent mice.

Other than it’s good looks what makes this mouse one of the best silent gaming mouse around? To start, it’s “plug in and play” which means you don’t have to install any drivers or software in order for it to work. Second to this, there are 5 DPI settings to choose from; The DPI available ranges from; 800, 1200, 1600 2000 and 2400 and you can change this setting by the button under the scroll wheel. In addition to the 5 DPI settings there are also 6 programmable buttons and an ergonomic grip that keeps your hand in a firm, comfortable position.

The VicTsing also comes with ultra-fast 2.4g Two-way wireless transmission technology which allows you to connect to your computer, laptop or TV from 10 meters away.

It’s truly an excellent silent mouse and, for any gaming enthusiast, something you should certainly consider.

  • 5 DPI Settings
  • 6 Programmable buttons
  • Ultra-fast 2.4G Wireless Connection

VicTsing 4-Button Silent Mouse

Victsing 4-button silent mouse

Next on the list is another VicTsing, the 4-Button Silent Mouse. This is probably one of the most popular choices of mouse on the market and for some very good reasons. Firstly it is an energy efficient, wireless mouse requiring only 2 AAA batteries that can last up to 15 months. What makes it energy efficient is the automatic sleep mode which kicks in after 8 minutes of inactivity. Compared with other mice, this is a very handy feature to have.

It comes with three DPI settings that are activated by clicking the square button just below the scroll wheel. The current DPI settings are 800, 1200 and 1600 which covers you for pretty much all situations and preferences. The VicTsing is also a tiny mouse; It’s light and extremely portable making it a sensible choice to use if you ever need to travel.

The mouse connects to your PC or Laptop by a powerful 2.4Ghz transmission which allows connectivity by up to 33ft away. This gives the user ample reach if they need to be far away from their machine but still need to activate it. For example, if you’re in bed and want to use the computer from across the room to watch youtube.

To top things off you can choose this mouse in almost every colour. Whilst in this example it’s black, you can choose from blue, grey, white, silver, pink and red. Additionally this mouse is really cheap and one of the best value for money on this list.

Key Points:

  • Energy Efficient
  • 4 Buttons
  • 3 DPI Settings
  • Powerful 2.4Ghz Wireless Connection
  • Multiple Colours Available

LeadsaiL Silent Mouse

leadsail silent rechargeable mouseThe LeadsaiL is slightly more expensive than the VicTsing but for several good reasons. The first reason is it’s a completely rechargeable and or wired mouse. This means you get the best of both worlds and is perfect for all situations. For example if you want to use this mouse in a coffee shop, you can choose to have it wireless. If you’re at home and need the connectivity you can go for wired.

The rechargeable USB port means you can keep it charged through the laptop. This is a huge bonus because it mean you don’t have to worry about any external charging pads or docking stations.

In addition to it’s recharging capabilities you also have 5 DPI settings to choose from. You can select DPI of 800, 1200, 1600, 2000 and or 2400 by using the small square button just below the scroll wheel. Having a broad range of DPI settings means you can fine tune the sensitivity based on what you’re doing. If you’re gaming you can have the high “twitch” DPI of 2000 or 2400 and if you’re browsing, the default 1600 or 1200 would suffice.

The LeadsaiL also has an energy saving mode built into it’s software. After 8 minutes of inactivity the mouse will power down which saves you precious power if you out on the road. Squeezed into the small body is a powerful 2.4Ghz wireless signal allowing you to connect to devices from 10 meters away. In addition to all these features, the LeadsaiL Silent Mouse also comes in 4 colours; Black, grey, white and Black/Red.

Key Points:

  • Energy Saving
  • 5 DPI settings
  • Several Colours to Choose from

ShhhMouse Wireless Silent Mouse

shhhmouse wirelessShhhMouse brings us, and you have guessed it, a very quiet mouse indeed! ShhhMouse are claiming that they have been able to reduce up to 90% of all sounds emitted from a mouse. This is a claim I can vouch for. Whilst it doesn’t have all the technical capabilities as the other mice in this list, it can certainly hold it’s own in the noise department.

Whilst the other mice in this list would be aimed at gamers, this one would be more for casual use. This means things like travelling, or commuting it’s an ideal mouse for. It has a great design which is not only extremely trendy but suits any traveller or commuter that is image conscious. The mouse relies on only 1 AA battery to run and with this one battery can last up to 12 months – This is also included with the product once purchased.

Key Points:

  • Extremely Quiet
  • Wireless
  • Trendy Mouse for Casual Use

Offiplus Noiseless Wireless Mouse

Offiplus noiseless mouseIf you’ve made it this far down this list, it means you’re still undecided in which mouse to get. If I couldn’t convince or tempt you with any of the VicTsing’s range I might be able to with the Offiplus.

The Noiceless Wireless Mouse from Offiplus is an excellent contender in this silent battle. The Noiseless is just that and extremely quiet, in fact could be one of the quietest mice on this list. What’s even more impressive that it’s lack of noise is how comfortable it is to use. The Noiseless fits perfectly in my hand and the diamond cut grip makes sure it stays firmly in my complete control. The Noiseless is also driverless which means you can just plug it in and play without any pointless installs.

Key Points:

  • Highly Subdued Sound
  • Extremely Comfortable
  • Plug in and Play

Why do you need a Silent Gaming Mouse?

This answer is simple, you don’t want to be discovered playing games late at night! There are several situations where you would want to avoid detection;

Parents: I can’t be the only one where my parents would press their ear to my door and catch me out gaming. The only reason why they were able to do this was because of my excessive clicking! If I was studying, I would have no reason to rapid click so it’s easy to be found out when you’re basing that button. With any of the silent mice above, you have a better chance to fail your exams in favour of gaming!

Partners:  If your gaming set up is in the bedroom and your girlfriend or boyfriend is a slight sleeper, the last thing they want to hear at 1:30am is ‘click’ ‘click’ ‘click’ ‘click’ ‘click’ ‘click’ … A silent mouse will not only keep them happy but you can avoid the awkwardness in the morning.

Travelling: Don’t be that guy on the plane or train that’s hammering the mouse for what ever reason. A silent mouse will not only avoid you getting elbowed in the face by the person next to you but make the travelling experience better for everyone!
